are some photos of my shop on the island of Belle
Ile, an hour by ship
off the coast of Southern Brittany. The style of the gallery
might best be described as, "Baroque Kitch." There
are heavy curtains of silk taffeta, fully lined in silk. Many
taxidermic animals finish their lives here draped in diamond
tiaras, their ears pierced as well. Let us say that my gallery
is not exactly the typical blue and white gift shop by the
seaside! Some people
may think I am insane. There is not a square centimeter that
I did not redo decorate, or construct with my own hands. Two
years in the making, the gallery delights most visitors, who
are kind enough to say it is
a, "Unique and magical world." |
